The
Mediterranean collection is a face-brick that is colored
permanently after it is constructed. The coloring process
does not cover up untidy brickwork.
Face
Brickwork
- Leave
out faulty, dirty, cracked or heavily chipped bricks.
- Blend
bricks from 3-4 packs.
Use
Off-white mortar only
- Use
only off-white or light white cement in the mortar
formation.
- Use
light colored or white sands only in the mortar.
Full
flush joint
- Fully
flush the joint with mortar during laying.
Clean
as you go
- Clean
new brickwork as you go.
- Do
not wash out mortar spillage through weep holes and
let dry on the wall. Wash the wall down thoroughly,
removing resedue as you go, as the Colorbrik process
will not cover this residue effectively.
- Face
brickwork will not require pressure washing acid used
by brick cleaners.
Brickwork
is to be constructed as per the Masonry Code of Australia
AS 3700 and BCA ( Building Code of Australia). Flashings
and damp proof coursing to be installed as per BCA.
